Koenigsegg Gemera. And you thought things could not get more insane…

The Gemera, just presented today. It has 1700 hp, and can go from a standstill to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds, with a top speed of at least 400 km/h. It also has all-wheel drive, all-wheel torque vectoring, all-wheel steering and also has independent rear-wheel steering. And if that’s not enough, it seats four adults (comfortably, according to Koenigsegg).

It also has 8 (eight) cup holders, four that chill your drink and four that heat your drink. I’m not sure about luggage space, or if it even has space for your wallet. But who needs to carry luggage if you’re going somewhere at warp speed with your family.

Insane 🤯.

A Diablo at La Sarthe? Yeah, almost…

In the 90s, with everybody trying their hand at GT1 racing, Lamborghini didn’t want to miss the fun. So despite basically ZERO racing experience, they contracted French Signes Advanced Technology to build them a race car. Based on the lines of the current Diablo, they came up with the Lamborghini 132 GT1.

With a specially designed 6-liter engine delivering around 655 hp, they built one road-going example. And even got it homologated by the FIA in April of 1998. However, in September Audi bought Lamborghini and the program stopped right there.

And that was that, no Diablo at La Sarthe. What a shame! I for one would love to have a racing Raging Bull in the W-143 Garage.

When station wagons are cool

Admittedly, I’m a sedan/coupe kind of guy. Or perhaps, also a sedan kind of guy. And I abhor SUVs and the likes. If you don’t have to haul a whole bunch of people, you don’t need a small bus. So basically, for me a proper car is a coupe or sedan (or maybe a fastback/hatchback). Station wagons, on the other hand, are kind of a gray zone. I don’t dislike them, but I’m not a great fan either. However, I would be open to an Audi RS4 (or a Volvo 850), without the need for much persuasion.

Audi just released the new RS6 Advant, and the thing is phenomenal. And to launch the car they made a very nice commercial showing a bit of the car’s pedigree.

I would also accept that one too, thank you.

PS: If you’re wondering, the soundtrack is “Run Boy Run” by Woodkid.
